Flower Twinchie... No2

Well,as promised, here is my 2nd Flower Twinchie. I am entering this in to the challenge over at http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/
It's such a shame the light was so bad today as the colour on the petals is really shimmery, thanks to the H2o's. This flower stamp was sent to me by a friend from Canada, unfortunately it came in a bag of odd stamps that had no labels, not that I mind, because the stamps are gorgeous.

"Flower" Twinchie...No1

Yay...I am so pleased with myself. I've finally got around to entering a challenge or two.I've been so busy recently settling in to completely run the Craftymess Challenge Blog, then re-organising the DT team. Still its all been worth it, I hope, lol.
So on to Twinchie No1...I'm entering this in to the challenge over at http://twinchie-twinchiehotmaillive.blogspot.co.uk/....for those that know me,this challenge is right up my street as I love working with small pieces.
For the image on this Twinchie, I used part of a Crafty Individuals stamp, embossed it and painted it with H2o's...unfortunately the rain today hasn't given a good light indoors so you can't see much of the shimmer from the paints. To finish this piece off I aged the edges in distress ink.

Picture Perfect

So,the 2nd challenge over at http://crafty-emblies.blogspot.co.uk/  is now under way, so I thought I would show you all my DT make. The frame which I absolutely love is made by Kaisercraft, it can be used vertically or horizontally. First I painted it using the Kaisercraft matt black paint, I printed off a few photos of my adorable great grandson Harry and added them to the frame. For decoration I used the Crafty-Emblies camera and a small spring of leaves, which I painted in a pearl colour. I layered up some backing papers, keeping with the monochrome theme, adding some black cord and the flower.Up in the right hand corner I added the sprig of leaves and another flower. I think to date these are my 2 favourite photos of Harry as in the top one he is looking at my youngest grandson as he was talking to him and the 2nd photo Harry is looking at me and was very vocal, almost like he was talking to me,made my heart melt I can tell you.
So do pop along to .....http://crafty-emblies.blogspot.co.uk/ and have a look at what the rest of the design team have made for the Picture Perfect Theme, you may want to enter the challenge yourself, you do not have to use the Crafty-Emblie products to enter...there is a £10 voucher up for grabs as the prize too!

Just a couple of pieces

Good Morning Everyone...
I've been going through my craft photos and came across a couple of pieces that I had made for Craftymess Group, that I hadn't posted to my blog...The top photo is a wooden bird that I painted in matt black acrylic paint.I then stamped the bird with a flourish stamp, added some gold embossing powder and heated it. Finally adding a tear drop gem ( for the bird's eye)  and the ribbon and beads. For a first attempt I think it's turned out quite well ,room for improvement though, lol.
The second photo is a Twinchie, a piece of board measuring 2"x2"...I so love working with small pieces. I added some backing paper and then this fabulous vintage photo which I printed on plain copier paper. The lace went really well with the ribbon and slightly matched with this lady's hat. Finally I edged the piece in vintage photo distress ink.Again this piece was made for a challenge in the Craftymess Group.

Black & White

I'm a little unsettled tonight as my back has been playing me up for the last few days.I'm better sitting in a chair rather than lying in bed,so this could be a long night, lol.
I've been transferring my work from my photo library on to memory sticks, when I noticed I hadn't posted these 3 Black & White atcs that I made for my atc swap group over on facebook. Tag Book

Good Morning Bloggers...I overslept this morning (nothing new there, lol) so I was a little late publishing our challeneg blog this morning...hopefully it hasn't been noticed. The theme we have this fortnight over at  http://craftymesschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/  is Words,no images and was chosen by our very own Judie.
For my DT work I decided to make a Tag Book, first I cut 4 tags from very thick board and inked each one a different colour, then I cut a thinner tag to use on the front of the book. The stamps are all from Inkyliscious,
Thank you to all of you that pop by my blog,it's very much appreciated.

Just a few Atcs

I've been meaning to post these few atcs for a couple of days now,but I have been busy trying to get more themes and events going in the craft group I am in. I enlisted the help of another member,Lisa and she has had some good ideas too and has helped setting up some events with me...she types faster than me too, with less spelling mistakes,so for that I am very grateful, so she added the new stuff in to the files.
These atcs are from the daily challenges in the Craftymess Group,I try to enter as and when I can, as being part of the DT I should set an example and been seen on a regular basis in the group.
So now it's time for bed, hope to pop in again soon to post some more of my crafty makes...
