My Vintage Atc

Just thought I'd pop in and post this Atc I made earlier today. I so love the image of this lady. This was made for a craft group challenge. The backing paper was perfect for the sentiment too as it shows a faded old clock..looking at the atc now I see I should have used all small flowers as I think the white one is a little too big.

A Pretty Tag

Well, I've been awake all night and as soon as it got light I decided to get up. There is a seagull's nest on my next door neighbours roof and the chick is now big enough to wander off, it seems to have great pleasure in spending most of the night pecking away on the air vent and tiles on my roof. Being in a maisonette above the garage,it sounds like the seagulls are in my attic...
Anyway, before I make myself yet another coffee,I thought I would post this pretty tag I made this week.It was for a group challenge on facebook, the theme was to use flowers in your make.

Busy Little Bee

A second post from me today,no wonder it's raining! This is my "Bee" Twinchie ( 2"x2" square)....it's my entry for the challenge over at   http://twinchieschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/  Again, like my butterfly twinchie I made my own backing paper and to be honest it didn't look that nice, but I trimmed a bit off and adhered it to some card and then I stamped my chubby old bee, which I then masked  so I could stamp in a background image. Didn't quite get the angle right as the small bee looks like he has been capture by the chubby bee, lol. Then using a damp brush I lifted some colour off some distress ink pads for the bees and the flowers.
Thank you to all of my visitors for leaving such lovely comments...xx

Things with Wings....

I almost forgot to post these Atcs that I finished in teh week...my head is all over the place at the moment.lol.
These "Things with Wings" are for the UK Atc Swap group that is on Facebook. I couldn't resist doing a little bit of stamping. The lady stamp is one of my favourites and I've found the stamp on the bottom 2 atcs is really useful, either by using the whole stamp or just sections of it...another favourite to add  to my list from Inklylicious.

Floral Bird House

I have had a set of these little bird houses that I bought last year, so I thought it was high time I got one out and decorated it. I actually used this one in a craft group challenge and I won, yay, go me, lol.
Thought I would show 2 photos, one with birdhouse hanging up hanging and the other with it sitting...
First I primed the wood, then added a base colour, which was slightly darker than the top colour.Once the base coat was dry I then added the crackle medium then let that dry. Finally I added the cream top coat  and the deep pink to the edges of the bird house To speed up the drying I used my heat tool, not to close, didn't want to blister the paint. I was so pleased to see that the heat tool actually speeded up the crackle.
All paints and crackle medium are from Docrafts.
The tiny bird is from a die cut set ,I just inked it gently with distress ink pad and hot glued it to the perch...finally adding the flowers ,again with hot glue. I added some deep pink and silver cord for the hanging loop.

Butterfly Twinchie

This is the Twinchie I am entering in to the challenge over at  http://twinchieschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/. This is their second challenge and the theme is Butterflies and Bees. I have a couple more to make as you can enter as many times as you wish and I have a lovely bee stamp that I've not used yet.
The Twinchie is made from covered board...I made the backing paper myself using my self made spray paints on plain card, love the way it turned out and the ink from my backing stamp didn't bleed in to the paint either. The butterfly was stamped and cut from an off cut of the backing card, I added the pink antennae for more effect.

I coloured the background with distress inks, making a mask so I could create the sun.The daisies are painted with my H2O's.

Tick Tock Tag.

Can't believe it's been a week since I last posted...time certainly flies!
This is a Tag I made for a bi-weekly fun challenge that different members host in my craft group on Facebook....https://www.facebook.com/groups/419516258138466/ .....The theme was chosen by our member Terri, she won the previous challenge, so she got to set the next challenge. Terri chose "Tick Tock"....make anything, but it must include a timepiece. So I took out my Tim Holtz stamps and made this Tag, finishing it off with the lovely clock element. This challenge finishes tonight and the winner will set the next challenge. We have a monthly fun challenge in the group too, the theme this time is "Alter a Bottle" a first for me,lol.

Ribbons & Lace

It's that time again....the 8th Challenge has just been launched over at   http://rheddandrosies.blogspot.co.uk/
The teamies were all given some wood shapes to work with from Kim & Ashley who own Dotty's Heaven & Craft Shapes Torbay.
There is a little write up about them over on the blog...do pop over and have a look, the team have done some fabulous work with their wood shapes
I used the heart which I painted twice with copper acrylic paint, the second application I painted on quite thick and stippled it,then heated areas with my heat tool to make a few small blisters. The required elements were then added, the ribbon and lace and some gorgeous flowers and a butterfly to finish.
My 2nd  make is a wood tag, which I painted twice in mango acrylic paint. I then heated embossed it with clear embossing powder 4 times, before it cooled I inked a background stamp and pressed it in to the tag to give it texture and a pattern, finally adding the picture and trimmings from my stash.

Anything with Wings

The new challenge has been set over at...http://eclecticellapu.blogspot.co.uk/.....such a great theme too "Anything with Wings" It's the turn of the Pink Team ( the team I am in ) to show their fabulous work.
My Dt peice is a little set of drawers I bought for £3 from Wilkinsons. It was bright orange with red, blue, green and yellow drawers. I have used the fabulous Kaisercraft 75cents papers to cover the box and all the drawer fronts. I've also used the matching stamps on 2 of the drawers and the dress form.
For the top I added a grunge board heart that I covered in the same paper and then edged with distress ink. Finally I added all the butterflies and the ribbon and flowers....hope you all like it.
Thank you to all of you that drop by leave me comments, I do appreciate them all....xx
