A Row of Houses

Just popped in to post my latest creation...I had a sleepless night, just too hot, so I decided to craft instead.
My houses are for Moira's  lovely swap that she has running until the 8th August in my group on facebook...Creative Girls.

                                Showing the houses standing up.

                                 Showing the houses flat

This is such a great swap and a first for me, I've never made a row of houses like this before, goes to show it's never to late to learn, lol.
I used the Tim Holtz die, cutting several sets in the same colour as I needed to cover the backs of the houses.
First I decorated each house separately, using scraps of backing paper and images from my stash.
To tie all the houses together I used a strip of washi tape which I folded over on itself, I actually made 2 strips then adhered them to the back of the houses. Once I had them all in a neat row I added the backs to each house, making sure I used a strong glue and taking care with all the edges, finally I added a couple of embellishments.
Just have to wait now until the 8th August when Moira will give out the names of our swap partners...whoever gets mine,I just hope they will like it,lol.

A couple more Atcs

Well,I woke up to sunshine, but its now rather cloudy, perhaps we will get the rain that was forecast for yesterday, still very warm though...
Here are a couple of the Atcs that I made along with the others in a previous post for my group's swap..

I've used several different stamps for these atcs, the top one has a chalked background, which I then stamped with a grungy style stamp from Kaiserkraft, I then sealed it(I used hairspray)....the little boy with his fish is by Papaerartsy.

For the second Atc, I again used chalks for the background and another grungy style stamp, which I also sealed (again with hairspray)  I used the clock stamp from Elusive Images. The paper boy, which I stamped on to some scrap paper and the words are from Artistic Outpost.

Pretty Atcs

Well,I've not made any of  these for quite a while..Artist Trading Cards, at one time they were my most favourite thing to make, don't get me wrong I still enjoy making them, but I enjoy altered art more.

I have a little group on facebook and I am hoping it will expand, as it is now we have 22 members...all like minded folk that like to craft and chat, the group is for everyone and anything. We have a swap going on at the moment, hence my atcs and also a little challenge to make an album from some envelopes...at the end of the challenge a winner will be selected and sent a little prize...all good fun.

Nature Tag...

Another sleepless night for me, although I did doze half way through a programme I was watching on TV last night, even though it was only for about 40 minutes,I did feel better for it. It's the long nights I seem to have problems with, fibromyalgia has a lot to answer for...
Anyway,to keep busy I went off to my craft room and made a Tag for the Tagalong Challenge...the theme is Nature in all It's Glory. I had so many stamps to choose from, but after sorting through them I decided to use this stamp by Indigoblu  it was freebie with a craft magazine. I must say for a freebie it gives a lovely clean image.

So this is my Tag...the birds are a part of a stamp set from Inkylicious and the tree stamp that I used on the ends of the tag is by Artistic Journey and so is the sentiment. Unfortunately the flash on the camera hasn't done justice to the sentiment, it kind of glared it out a bit, may be I should have used a different colour ink, too late now, lol. The sentiment reads..."Keep a green tree in your heart & perhaps a song bird will come"

Put a Hat on It.....

I just had to enter Mandy's Sunday Postcard Art Challenge....I love the theme, "Put a Hat on It" and I had the perfect image to use...and here he is!

I just adore this little boy with his cheeky toothy grin....I've had him in my stash for absolutely ages, not sure where he came from...he was in my files under freebie.
I found the hat off another image, again from my stash and it was the perfect size for this little boys head too, lol.
I used some watercolour paints to shade his clothing...the stamps are all by Inkylicious, again I splashed about with the paints just to lift it slightly.

Time to Move On

Sadly, this week will see the end of my blog Rhedd & Rosies. I created the anything goes challenge blog just under 2 years ago and with the help of my teamies ( past as well as present ) I was very fortunate to have a successful blog.
But I do lean more towards altered art and a few months ago I created Rhedd's Creative Spirit Altered Art Challenge Blog. I have on board just a few select teamies, the challenges run on a monthly basis with a prize for our winning entry.
So on the 6th July the blog will be deleted....the winner of our last challenge is now in touch with our sponsor and hopefully now is in receipt of her fabulous digi images.

Many Thanks to all of you that supported my blog with your stunning entries and wonderful comments, also a huge Thank You to all the design team that have worked with me on my blog from the beginning...
All that's left is for me to say I will see you, if you are in to Altered Art, over at Rhedd's Creative Spirit Challenge Blog....xx

July's Altered Art Challenge & Guest DT Call

The weeks are just flying by so quickly, just pleased that the last few days have been a lot cooler...personally I really do not like the weather too hot.
Rhedd's Creative Spirit have just launched their challenge for July...Altered Art Only, but the theme is Anything Goes...
As owner and head teamie I have made a little something for your inspiration...Its a pocket album for Atcs ( artist trading cards)  using the French Country papers from Graphic45.

The pockets are made from toilet tissue tubes.I must add that these tubes are unused...you can remove them from the rolls if you are careful, well worth the effort as these are the perfect size for what I needed...although some tubes are slightly smaller and wouldn't be wide enough for the atcs.

Showing the Atcs ( Artist Trading Cards)

Rhedd's Creative Spirit are offering these gorgeous Artiste Spritzing Inks for Julys Winner...they are fabulous,I use them a lot.

The colours here are White and Aubergine

Finally, there is currently a Guest Design Team Call over at RCS, this is open to everyone who enters our July Challenge.....so if you would like to be a guest designer for September, do pop a comment over on the blog when you enter the challenge.
